I spent Saturday in debilitating pain, and finally on Sunday realized that it was necessary to get medicine. Went to Quick Care. The doctor wasn't certain of the diagnosis. He wanted to make sure it wasn't something more serious. So he sent me to the emergency room for a cat scan. They confirmed diverticulitis. They prescribed Cefpodoxime 100 mg 2x daily for 7 days. They also prescribed Amoxicillin-Clav for and uti. They also recommended a followup with a GI. I'm conflicted about seeing another GI because I think it's excessive. I'm current on colonoscopies and I know the diagnosis.
I spent Monday resting, and today, Wednesday, is the first day that I've started feeling better.
